Making AI Research Visible
Turning an abstract AI model into a clear product story for researchers, press, and digital audiences.
Overview
For the release of GREmLN, I partnered with scientists and an external animation studio to turn computational biology into a visual story that could support a multi-channel product launch.
The work required translating an invisible technical system into something accurate enough for researchers and clear enough for broader audiences to remember.
Role
Led creative production for the flagship animation, guiding the work from concept through final delivery while balancing scientific accuracy, product positioning, stakeholder feedback, and visual clarity.
The Challenge
How do you visualize something no one can actually see?
The animation needed to be scientifically accurate while making an abstract AI model intuitive enough for researchers and broader audiences alike.
Success depended on balancing technical precision with compelling design throughout the creative process.
Outcomes
Strengthened AI
Product Positioning
Created a launch-ready animation featured across press, social, and digital channels, helping make CZI's AI-powered biology work easier to understand and easier to share.
